Firearms Policy

To preserve an environment of worship, reverence, and safety for all congregants, Webster Memorial Baptist Church prohibits the open carry of firearms or other weapons on its premises during worship services, church meetings, and related gatherings.

Individuals who are legally permitted to carry a concealed weapon under Florida law may continue to do so, provided that the weapon remains fully concealed and is not brandished, displayed, or otherwise exposed in a manner that could alarm or disturb others.

A designated Safety Team will be responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of the congregation. These individuals are trained and authorized to respond to emergencies, including security threats.

Those who are not members of the Safety Team but who legally conceal carry should focus on getting themselves and others to safety rather than attempting to confront or neutralize any threat.

Any person observed openly carrying a firearm may be asked to leave the premises. Continued refusal to comply will be treated as trespassing under Florida law.

This policy will be posted prominently at all entrances and communicated to church members and visitors in advance.
